Can you believe it’s already March! Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday we were ringing in the New Year and now everywhere you go, it’s a messy combination of St. Patrick’s Day décor and the prolific Easter bunny! So what do you do when time seems to be moving by so quickly; strap on a helmet and try to keep up, or go at your own pace?

While society might recommend the latter, it’s important to take care of the things you deem most important. So, if you’ve been sticking to your New Year’s resolutions, good for you! If not, consider this the perfect time to make a change and “March into Action.”

Step 1 – Take care of the hard stuff first

Whether this is doing your taxes, cleaning out the garage, going through the old boxes in the attic, DO IT. De-cluttering your home leads to de-cluttering your mind! This task looks different for everyone, so the severity can vary also. Whichever it is for you, DO IT and do it the right way the first time! Set aside a date and specific amount of time to complete it, or set a series of dates to complete it, depending on how extensive the task is. Reward yourself when you’ve finished!

Step 2 – Find a new hobby

You know that “thing” that you’ve always wanted to try, but never did? Was it going to a networking conference, or trying that kickboxing class? Maybe it was taking up golf because you’re embarrassed when you go play with the guys? Whatever it may be, take some time for you and explore new hobbies. Try it with your spouse or a friend, or make it your “you” time. Create a pattern of trying something new for a few weeks and see how it benefits your life. If it doesn’t, then at least you can say you tried it!

Step 3 – Invest in yourself and your family with a swim spa or hot tub

Owning a hot tub can be extremely beneficial for your mental and physical health. And the best part is that you can enjoy it with the ones you care about most! Each Marquis hot tub offers a sleek look with comfort and impeccable design, as well as various customization options to create your own personal oasis. Keep things intimate with a small hot tub, or enjoy any of the larger, five to seven-person models! You can even think outside the box and invest in a swim spa! Aquatic Training Vessels™ (ATV) meet your relaxation needs and your physical exercise needs, while also allowing a place for the kids to play. To learn more visit atvswimspas.com.

Step 4 – Set goals for yourself each month

This could go hand in hand with finding a new hobby, but each month set a goal and get it done! Maybe it’s time you deep clean the kitchen – not just wipe down the counters and sweep, but filter through the fridge, wipe down the drawers, empty the cabinets, etc. It doesn’t have to be a large task. Maybe you want to be more active with your kids on the weekend. Arrange for various activities to participate in as a family – farmer’s markets, seeing a mid-day movie, going to the beach, the list could go on! Set a different goal each month and see how your life, habits and attitude changes!

“Marching into action” to be ready for spring and summer doesn’t have to be hard or daunting. Break things up and celebrate the small victories in between larger tasks. Continue to be proactive with your lifestyle and before you know it, it’ll be June and you’ll feel mentally and physically refreshed and ready for all things summer vacation!
